Following the successful meeting on “Heavy Fermion Physics: Perspective and Outlook” in January, we are organizing a second workshop on “Heavy Fermions and Quantum Phase Transitions” at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing from November 10-12, 2012. This workshop is sponsored by the Key Laboratory of Condensed Matter Theory and Computation and the Key Laboratory of Extreme Conditions Physics of IOP, CAS. The workshop will highlight some of the major recent advances in the research on heavy fermions and quantum phase transitions, thereby helping set the directions for future developments in this exciting field, and promote its growth in China.
